Alice Chipkin is an artist, writer and teacher currently based in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia.

Alice is interested in image-making in its many forms and is currently working in the mediums of photography, lino printing and drawing. 

She is also passionate about story. Alice is co-author of the graphic memoir Eyes Too Dry (Bonnier Echo, 2017). Her nonfiction and poetry have been published widely, including in The Lifted Brow, Archer Magazine, Cordite Poetry Review and South African publications Carapace Poetry and Tiny Press.

Alice works as an educator and has run creative writing and drawing workshops for teenagers around the country. She has been a teaching artist with the Stella Prize for Girls Write Up festivals, LitFest 2444, Octopus Stories NT, Express Media, Melbourne Writers Festival and the Emerging Writers’ Festival.  

Alice has completed a range of commissioned work including photographic projects and illustrated collections of poetry. In 2017 she held her first solo photography exhibition at AESO Studio, Narrm.
